I agree, though.
Arguing with him is about as useless as trying to explain to a record player why it is out dated. No matter how much you talk to it, it just keeps on playing old useless songs.

E-peeners are sort of like that, each in their own way.

I agree too.

ANet should remove the scrolls, and make the urgoz/deep outposts available on the map once you've been there.

Currently, I'm not interested in even trying to get into a Deep or Urgoz team because I'd have to waste a scroll just to see if there was a pug forming.

Agreed. I used to do the Deep alot with my Ele and Necro. The last few times I was there it was dead. I love the zodiac weapons but I'm not sure how many more R11 communing staffs I can handle with reduced weakness duration and +1 fire magic. FFS!

My son joined another guild that organized a Deep run. Watched him play it and it was funny since it was half of the old team builds (Shove warrior, SF nuker, SS necro) and half Ursan. The Ursan were the rangers, sins and derv's that always got left out so it wasn't all bad.

Just complete Urgoz with guild... like I said... all this talk has motivated me to do it.

Time completed 1 hour 34 minutes...

Group

three HB Monks...

Rit/N (with Necrotic Traversal)

Three Ursans for wall

Three Nukers

One Splinter Ranger

One bip necro (he wasn't a 1 hp bip though)

Not bad for a group that just decided to go and didn't have enough players for the old school build.

Very happy to add Urgoz to my HoM on my monk. We will be doing the Deep next. The Deep takes us a half hour. FTW!!!

QFT. Because FoW is one of those places where many types of party setups can beat it, so there's no lazy ursanway yet, at least not much of it. I've seen some FoW Ursanway, but mainly in HM. I'm not big on HM anyway, so doesn't affect me.

Did I mention yet how you can Barrage/Pet the FoW?

I'm sure you guys have tried it, but still. Just another way for rangers to get their share of shards.

Um... I HM Ursaway clear FoW in an hour and a half... Ursaway is there, just hasn't dominated yet.

With good competent teams, I beat The Deep in HM in 56 minutes, and a few other times in 57, you don't need Ursan for that, in fact I would recommend against it.

But bringing attention to these old elite areas, like said before, would just bring more mindless Ursan builds in, there's just no point.

HM Necro split with Ursan Warrior tanks in a little over a half hour (consumables). Unfortunately, the Deep is not profitable for me ever. I rarely get good Zodiac drops and only get upset with other people over their drops.

But I'm talking without consumables, you know, when people actually use real builds and don't enchant themselves with ''Godmode'', and my records do not beat the ones that other people have, some have beaten it in 45 mins/ish with what I did.

As many people have stated that Tombs is not really a true "elite mission" the biggest problem i see with it is that its main reward is only after the entire area is completed and if you dont, typically the reward is total garbage along the way as the chests have always sucked pretty bad and the shards that drop are few and far between most of the time. The greens at the end at this point have little/no actual resale value so basically you do the runs in hopes of getting something you may want to use. At least if they put a chest, even if it was just a Diamond and a gold item/green, you would be more likely to have people doing it, as it is much more in depth that most of the gwen dungeons even if you can do so with a cookie cutter build, and i am sure in time you will have the same type of things for each of the dungeons as with time comes people getting used to the areas and learning what does/doesnt work. In reality how is the B/P build any different than putting together a UB group or a paraway group for a dungeon/elite mish? You are maximizing your potential to complete the area and doing so in a quick manner. Put a chest in!

I do missions with and without consumables. However, I enjoy doing missions as fast as possible when I can. I am not a player limited by builds. I have been playing a long time and will be among the few people still in the game that can complete DoA when UB gets nerfed. My time for the Deep still remains around 45 minutes without consumables. The Deep is easy with a split and the right tank. other than that, I beat everything you could beat before the introduction of consumables and Ursan Blessing. I am old school gw, however, I am not retarded. If consumables and UB shorten time, I do it. I do UW runs in 55 minutes because I can, not because I am lazy. When they nerf UB, I will move onto the next thing that works.

Also, if you are a diehard player, I respect that. Most of the people I play with are old school players, from the Sins, CAT, TIC days of faction farming. We all still have the old builds and can still do all the elites with the old builds. We all have multiple characters, etc... I respect that. I just don't believe in wasting time anymore. I can't play as much as I used to. Life caught up with me.

I would love to do the Deep and Urgoz. But as it stands now, I am not going to waste a scroll to pop in there just to find out there is no one there forming PUGs. My guild is small (2) so I really rely on pick ups.

I would also like to be able to finish DoA with my ele nuker and not be laughed at for not going Ursan, which I have never even done.

My suggestion is to join an established PvE Alliance that is capable of running Urgoz. There are still a few out there. Many of the old guilds have dissolved into newer guilds. Typically, guilds that can do Urgoz are already in set Alliances. People here will argue that Urgoz is easy, however, it isn't for people that have never done it before. With the amount of popups there, it takes someone familiar with Urgoz to complete it in good amount of time, without constant back aggro and near party wipes.

Meh.. I'd like to see the aspects put back into DoA normal Mode. Maybe then Ursan wouldn't make it a yawn and people might go back to other elites. At the moment DoA is just too easy a way to get rich. Though I guess prices will be dropping. Anyone else really wanted a tormented shield before it became the 2nd most common shield skin? Oh well. I'll keep popping into factions elites and hope there's more then one toon there waiting to do something fun...
Just my humble view...

Should Sorrows Furnace recieve an end chest with inscribed items?

Of all the "elite" dungeons I find Sorrows to be one of the best and most deserving of a buff to the completion reward. Exp is nice but after 1000 skill points you just don't really find that a reward.

I don't consider Sorrow's Furnace an Elite, although a lot of people out there do. It is extremely easy to beat, but just takes a little longer than a normal mission. Gate of Madness is harder to beat than Sorrow's Furnace.
